Charleston, WV (Akiit.com) – Comedy Magician Dewayne Hill will set a world record on April 14, 2007 to benefit the March of Dimes Foundation at the Charleston Town Center Mall. Dewayne will perform over 100 card tricks with 60 minutes setting a world record.
Various businesses and friends will donate money per trick that Dewayne completes within the 60-minute time frame, and Dewayne will give 100% of all proceeds to the Charleston chapter of the March of Dimes. “I think the March of Dimes does a great work and I am willing to do whatever I can to help”, said Hill.
A claim has been submitted to Guinness World Record office for review and publication. At the present time there is nothing on record for such a claim and Dewayne hopes it will be listed and published after he submits all the documentation concerning the event. The Guinness World Record office sent Hill a list of rules and guidelines to be completed and submitted before they formally publish the claim, such as a witness for the entire event, an official time keeper, the event being in a public venue, etc.
Guinness World Records published a similar record in which 654 modeling balloon sculptures were completed within an hour.
The event is open to the public and will start at 2:00pm on April 14 at the Charleston Town Center Mall Center Court. Additional pledges are being accepted prior and the day of the event. For more information go to dewaynehill.com
